Sethian OS is a custom Linux distribution built on the foundation of Debian GNU/Linux 13 "Trixie" (Testing). It is designed to provide a lightweight, modern, and aesthetically cohesive desktop experience by
stripping away enterprise-grade bloat and pre-configuring the GNOME 48 environment for immediate productivity.
Core Features
* Base System: Built on Debian Trixie for access to modern packages and kernels.
* Debloated Architecture:
* Removed ~1GB of unnecessary assets, including enterprise firmware (Netronome/Marvell), extensive global fonts (Noto Extra), and pre-generated locales.
* Stripped standard "bloatware" such as LibreOffice, Evolution, GNOME Games, Maps, and Weather.
* Polished GNOME 48 UI:
* Layout: Pre-configured with Dash to Panel positioned at the top for a professional, streamlined taskbar.
* Visuals: Locked orange accent color, dark mode by default, and custom "Sethian" branding across the wallpaper, GDM login, and Plymouth boot splash.
* Developer-First Tooling: Includes Gemini CLI (integrated via Node.js), Google Chrome, and essential build utilities pre-installed.
* Custom Installer: Uses a branded Calamares installer with simplified language options (English US / Spanish MX) and automated post-install cleanup.

Project Status
Currently in Version 0.2, Sethian OS has transitioned from a basic customization script (v0.1) to a full ISO-distributable system with custom bootloader (GRUB/ISOLINUX) branding and system-wide identification
(/etc/os-release).
